Ingredients
½ tsp ground nutmeg
1 cinnamon stick
1 dried bay leaf
60g Demerara sugar
½ of an orange, sliced
1 x 750ml bottle of red wine
60ml gin (optional)

directions

  1. Heat all of the ingredients together in a saucepan over a medium-low heat until the sugar has dissolved. Remove from the heat and stir in the gin, if using. Strain into mugs and serve hot.
