Easy Sausage Pasta

A hearty supper all the family will love.

Serves: 4
Olive oil
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 onion, chopped
8 good-quality Cumberland sausages, sliced
1 green pepper
500g (1.1 pounds) fusilli pasta
6 sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
2 tsp dried basil
Parmesan cheese or cheddar, grated, for serving


Heat some olive oil in a pan and fry the garlic and onion for a few minutes. Put the pasta on to simmer. Add the pepper and pieces of sausage to the onion and garlic and fry until cooked. Then add the sun-dried tomatoes and basil and stir. Drain the pasta and add to the pan, stirring to combine. Season and serve, adding some cheese to each plateful.
