We are delighted to announce that our SPAR Select Chicken Karahi Ready Meal was a winner at the Irish Quality Food and Drink Awards 2015 in the Ethnic Ready Meal Category!

Our Chicken Karahi is produced for us by Kohinoor who are based in Dublin and have been creating authentic Indian cuisine for over 20 years.

5 SPAR Select products were short listed for the awards this year in various categories and some of these achieved commendations in their categories.

SPAR Select Irish Vintage Cheddar was commended in the Hard Cheese Category. SPAR Select Goats Cheese was commended in the Soft Cheese Category and SPAR Select Wensleydale Cranberry was highly commended in the Specialty Cheese Category. All of these cheeses are produced for the SPAR Select Range by the Traditional Cheese Co. which is a 100% Irish owned company and has been supplying the Irish market with Irish and Continental products for over 30 years.

SPAR Select Madagascan Vanilla Yogurt produced for us by Irish Yogurts was commended in the Yogurt category. Irish Yogurts is located in Clonakilty in West Cork which is one of the biggest employers in Clonakility town employing over 130 people who live locally.
