SPAR and EUROSPAR held an exclusive supplier competition at Bite Food Festival 2015, offering one lucky supplier the chance for their product to join the SPAR Select portfolio. After much deliberation by the judges, celebrity cook Donal Skehan announced Cork based Grandma Henvey’s as the winner for their delicious gluten-free porridge on Saturday November 21st. The SPAR Select Porridge will be available in stores in the coming weeks.
Grandma Henvey’s, established by Tim Healy and Ronan Lowe, was inspired by their Cork grandmother’s entrepreneurship in creating gluten-free meal solutions for her restaurant in Skibbereen, West Cork. As the next generation, they decided to take things a step further in partnership with the leading grower of Gluten Free Oats in Ireland, and will now supply our new SPAR Select Porridge.
