Chocolate - dipped honeycomb
Homemade honeycomb dipped into milk chocolate, then allowed to set.

Ingredients |

300g caster sugar |
150g golden syrup |
Pinch cream of tartar |
1,1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda |
180g milk chocolate, broken into pieces |
directions
1.Line a 20cm square baking tray with baking paper.
2.In a deep, heavy-based pan, combine the sugar, golden syrup and cream of tartar. Place over a low heat and stir until the sugar has dissolved.
3.Stop stirring, turn the heat to medium and cook until the mixture is golden.
4.Working very quickly, add the bicarbonate of soda, then remove from the heat and stir vigorously. As the mixture foams up, pour it quickly into the prepared baking tray and set aside to cool.
5.Once the honeycomb is cool, break or smash it into bite-sized pieces
