Strawberries macerated in balsamic vinegar and served over vanilla ice cream for the perfect summertime treat.

Ingredients
4 scoops good-quality vanilla ice cream
2 tsp balsamic vinegar
1 tbsp sugar
500g fresh strawberries, washed, hulled and sliced

directions

1       Place the strawberries into a large glass bowl. Stir in the sugar and balsamic.

2       Allow to stand for 30 minutes for strawberries to release their natural juices.

3       Serve over scoops of vanilla ice cream.
