Saint Vincent De Paul and EUROSPAR Easter Empty Basket Appeal

22/03/21

EUROSPAR are delighted to launch a partnership with Saint Vincent De Paul this Easter Season. EUROSPAR are continuing our charity fundraising partnership with with our Easter Empty Basket Appeal. The initiative will allow EUROSPAR Supermarkets to support a national charity fundraiser at a community level with all donations raised will repatriated within local communities.
Saint Vincent De Paul received 160,000 calls from families in need of help in 2020 and nearly 50,000 of those calls were requests for food and EUROSPAR are playing our part to fill as many empty baskets as possible to help save families in need this Easter.

How to donate?
If you are shopping in your local EUROSPAR Supermarket please donate any non-perishable items at the baskets at the tills. Donations will be given to local SVP Conferences thereby ensuring that everything donated in the community stays within the community.

The campaign will take place from 22nd March – 5th April in all participating EUROSPAR Supermarkets. In the current Covid-19 environment and concerns by some people around the distribution and transferal of food, all contributions will be totalled by individual stores at the end of the campaign and the value of donations received will be converted into EUROSPAR Vouchers and given to your local SVP Conference. This will ensure that not only will donations stay in the community but it also means that it will be spent in your stores.
